Just some initial thoughts based on the free practices earlier in comparison to last year’s end-of-season pace. I realise that the track conditions probably didn’t give the true comparitive speed of each car, so just take these as a few meandering thoughts.
Up for it: Ferrari, McLaren
Up: BMW, Williams, Red Bull, Super Aguri
Down: Toro Rosso
Down and out: Toyota
Undecided: Renault, Honda, Spyker
Renault will eventually be up, as will Honda to a lesser degree. Spyker surprised me, Toro Rosso didn’t. Comment away should you wish.
