As the penultimate race of the 2008 season dawns upon us, the live blog will once again be discussing, analysing and providing commentary for the grand prix, this round being held in China. Lewis Hamilton has taken the pole position, but hot on his tail are both Ferraris and a rejuvenated Fernando Alonso. Also worthy of a mention is Hamilton’s team mate Heikki Kovalainen, who despite qualifying in fifth, ran well in Q1 and Q2, indicating pace and perhaps a heavy fuel-load. So join like-minded fans for the race that could, or could not decide the 59th Formula One World Championship. Continue Reading

With Lewis Hamilton on pole and championship rival Felipe Massa in fifth, the Japanese Grand Prix is set to be an interesting race if anything else. Between the two title contenders are their team mates, Kimi Raikkonen on the front row and Heikki Kovalainen directly behind Hamilton in third. Fernando Alonso could be the proverbial cat among the pigeons, in fourth and especially so given his new found confidence in the R28. So join myself and many other like-minded fans for the live blog. It only seems like only yesterday that Fernando Alonso was winning Formula One’s very first night race and Singapore’s very first race ever. But in fact two weeks have passed and now we are about to witness the battle for pole position at Japan’s Fuji Speedway. It is really going to be a battle between Felipe Massa and Lewis Hamilton, Ferrari and McLaren. But in the mix are Renault, Kimi Raikkonen, BMW and any other stray who thinks himself lucky around the Tilke-modified circuit. So join myself and a whole host of other bloggers and fans in discussing the the qualifying sessions of the 2008 Japanese Grand Prix. Continue Reading

Although BlogF1 may not be able to take part in this live blog – I have work commitments – I’m putting up the live blog box thingy here because I know a few of you enjoy it. As ever, the regulars will be around and the discussion will be fast-paced. With Sebastian Vettel on his first pole and with Heikki Kovalainen looking to ensure McLaren get a good haul of points, this is going to be one Italian Grand Prix you’re not going to forget in a hurry. Lewis Hamilton and Kimi Raikkonen will be wanting to come through the field as quickly as possible, and if it rains, Felipe Massa may even put on a bit of synchronised spinning for us. Once again, BlogF1 will be taking part in the Live Blog hosted by F1Fanatic. Along with all the regulars, we’ll be discussing the Belgian Grand Prix as it unfolds before us. With Hamilton on pole but Massa not too far behind, it should be a good race, especially if the weather throws up a few surprises, as it so often does in the Ardennes Forest. You can join the live blog via the box below, or alternatively head over to CoverIt Live and sign up for a free account. Continue Reading

Although I missed yesterday’s qualifying due to work commitments, BlogF1 will be joining in with the F1Fanatic Live Blog for the European Grand Prix at the brand new Valencia urban circuit in Spain. It should be a fantastic race and I for one cannot wait. Felipe Massa is on pole and given his form from the front, he should prove a difficult man to pass. But close behind is Lewis Hamilton and with Robert Kubica in third and Kimi Raikkonen in fourth, we are likely to be in with a treat today. Come join in and contribute your views and opinions as the race unfolds. Continue Reading
