Posted on September 7th, 2008 by Oliver White

They say Spa Francorchamps has it’s own little micro-climate, throwing up surprising weather conditions and playing havoc with the teams and drivers. And that is exactly what happened during the Belgian Grand Prix today, as incidents were plentiful in the build up to the final lap. On the track, it was Lewis Hamilton who took the win, followed by Massa and Heidfeld. Raikkonen retired with an accident in the wet weather and Heidfeld had an epic final lap to get onto the podium. Posted on September 7th, 2008 by Oliver White

What a sensational race! Lewis Hamilton has won the Belgian Grand Prix after a lot of confusion towards the end - the rain started to fall and overtaking was plentiful. Although Hamilton took to the podium, the stewards are looking into a move between the McLaren driver and Kimi Raikkonen. Hamilton ran wide going through the final corner and skipped over the run-off. He allowed Raikkonen to re-take the lead before passing again later in the lap. For now, here’s the result, but I’ll update when a decision from the stewards is known. Continue Reading

Felipe Massa splits the McLarens while Kimi rests in fourth, once again. After a bout of illness, Lewis Hamilton today returned to the cockpit of his McLaren MP4-23 and set the fastest time of the day at the Monza test in Northern Italy. The Briton managed a time 0.4s faster than Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen, who edged out Giancarlo Fisichella in the Force India by 0.3s. Hungary 2008: The Grid

Posted on August 2nd, 2008 by Oliver White

McLaren look very strong on the front row of the Hungaroring grid. The pair of MP4-23 drivers appear to be hooked-up with the Hungarian circuit and the car is doing a good job on the tight and twisty corners. Ferrari have a lot of work do, especially as Kimi Raikkonen is back in sixth. Between himself and his team mate in third are Robert Kubica and Timo Glock. And just behind the Finn are Fernando Alonso - who has looked relatively pacey all weekend - and Mark Webber and Jarno Trulli, both in reasonably competitive cars. Continue Reading
