The team had apparently been in talk with current Formula Three outfit Ultimate Motorsport, but Berger has said that none of the so-far rumoured parties have held serious talks with either himself or Mateschitz. Scuderia Toro Rosso Unveil 2008 Car

Posted on April 16th, 2008 by Oliver White

Three races into the season and Scuderia Toro Rosso have finally received their new machine, the STR3. Designed by parent team Red Bull Racing and bearing a strong resemblance to the RB4 currently driven by Mark Webber and David Coulthard, it is hoped the new motor will help the team in getting further into the midfield. Or perhaps you remember the days when Eddie Irvine would saunter through the paddock with a girl on each arm, a smug grin joining his ears? If you don’t you needn’t worry, these times have passed and there’s little point in being concerned about something you cannot control. But having been thinking about Formula One, it’s popularity and portrayed image through the media, I’m starting to change my mind when it comes to these antics. Allow me to explain… Continue Reading

F12008: Scuderia Toro Rosso

Posted on February 22nd, 2008 by Oliver White

F12008: Scuderia Toro Rosso PreviewThe Red Bull B-team will enter their third season in 2008, but the car they will begin with will look strikingly similar to the model used at the end of 2007. This is because it pretty much is the same car, STR having recently admitted that they are indeed waiting for a hand-me-down from Red Bull Racing, as many fans had suspected. The team seem to be under the impression that this will prove to be a good move, and Ferrari and McLaren have tried this approach in the past. However, Ferrari and McLaren tried it with proven winners rather than a mere point-scraper. Continue Reading
