The ninety-fourth photograph to feature in BlogF1’s caption contest. You know the drill, think of something funny and witty to say and leave it as a comment below. Everybody and their grandma is tweeting apparently. The BBC have embraced the online app that simply asks, “What are you doing?”. Even the Formula One teams have been getting in on the action and interacting with fans and sharing information. As here’s a shot of Heikki Kovalainen doing just that in the McLaren Technical Centre in Woking. But what is he writing? To make it even more fun, try and keep your comment to no more than 140 characters. Continue Reading

The ninety-third photograph to feature in BlogF1’s caption contest. You know the drill, think of something funny and witty to say and leave it as a comment below. This time around we have a photo of Fernando Alonso taken back in 2007 when the Spaniard drove for McLaren. Here is Alonso addressing a group of children taking part in his Karting Challenge in Barcelona. Continue Reading

The ninety-second photograph to feature in BlogF1’s caption contest. You know the drill, think of something funny and witty to say and leave it as a comment below. Following on from the previous Caption Contest, Ollie has been able to track down exactly what happened with regards to the flurry of Nick-Captions and it appears that while feeling slightly bad for not being around for one of the most glamorous races of the year (although perhaps also one of the least interesting thus far), and after finding some funny images of lil’ Heidi, the devil orangutan on the left shoulder shouted louder than the angel orangutan on the right shoulder and BlogF1 went a little bit crazy for a while. But you have to admit though, this is pretty darn funny… Continue Reading

The ninety-first photograph to feature in BlogF1’s caption contest. You know the drill, think of something funny and witty to say and leave it as a comment below. I’m not entirely sure what is going on, but BlogF1 appears to have been taken over by Nick Heidfeld fans who are intent on publishing photos of the BMW driver in odd situations that would be ideal for captioning. Currently, Ollie is tracking down the perpetrator/s and thinks they might be located somewhere inside his own mind. While the investigations continue though, please feel free to pass the time by adding amusing lines to the image… Continue Reading

The ninetieth photograph to feature in BlogF1’s caption contest. You know the drill, think of something funny and witty to say and leave it as a comment below. I know, I know, Ollie’s actually posted something for the first time in almost two weeks! I apologise for the sudden silence, and I certainly wasn’t expecting the amount of emails and comments that were received and were all lovely and kind – thank you to all. I honestly didn’t think too many folks would notice – I guess I was wrong! Continue Reading

The eighty-ninth photograph to feature in BlogF1’s caption contest. You know the drill, think of something funny and witty to say and leave it as a comment below. I decided that posting a photo to caption last week would have been a little inappropriate given the news that occurred on the same day, so this week’s image to add a line to is early to make up for it. Here’s Kimi Raikkonen enjoying a nap on the end of the pitwall back in his McLaren days. Continue Reading

The eighty-eighth photograph to feature in BlogF1’s caption contest. You know the drill, think of something funny and witty to say and leave it as a comment below. This week is slightly more topical than usual, as the photo depicts Jenson Button and the Brawn crew walking around the Bahrain circuit prior to the race weekend commencing. On his walkabout, Jenson bumped into previous race winner Sebastian Vettel, but what do you think the pair were discussing… Continue Reading

The eighty-seventh photograph to feature in BlogF1’s caption contest. You know the drill, think of something funny and witty to say and leave it as a comment below. This week we have another reader-submitted photograph to ponder and comment on. This shot of Jenson Button and Fifth Gear host Vicki-Butler Henderson was taken by Mr C from Sidepodcast whilst at the British Grand Prix in 2007. But what could be on that clipboard and what could Vicki be saying to Jenson… Continue Reading

The eighty-sixth photograph to feature in BlogF1’s caption contest. You know the drill, think of something funny and witty to say and leave it as a comment below. Ferrari recently announced a shake up in their staff in an effort to iron out the mistakes they have been making so far in the 2009 season. Michael Schumacher was, rightly or wrongly, implicated in Kimi Raikkonen’s switch to full wets in Malaysia, while Luca Baldisseri is to remain at the factory and head up developments to improve the F60. The eighty-fifth photograph to feature in BlogF1’s caption contest. You know the drill, think of something funny and witty to say and leave it as a comment below. As the weather is slowly warming in the UK, and following Kimi Raikkonen’s antics in Sepang last weekend, I thought I’d make this week’s caption about ice cream. Here we have Mark Webber tucking into one while walking with Felipe Massa at the 2008 French Grand Prix. But does Kimi know Mark has found his secret stash of Magnums? Continue Reading
