Red Bull Give Popular Blogger Ultimatum

Only six or so weeks after writing about The Red Bullog being a new and exciting addition to the online world of Formula One, site owner Dan has had to close the blog. Yesterday evening, Dan posted his final farewell to the site, explaining the reasons behind the closure. It turns out that Red Bull weren’t overly impressed with the use of the Red Bull logos and feared the site may cause confusion to fans who could presume it to be an official site of Red Bull rather than a passionate fan’s creation. The Secret Diary Of A Formula One Blogger: Part II

Part two of my Japanese diary and this early-morning I’m staying awake for the race having changed my plans yesterday following an extended nap which lasted for a few hours longer than it should have done. But that is what Formula One fans do when there are flyaway races; we mess up our routines just to catch the action live. I’m looking forward to the race later but I’m completely uninspired by the Fuji circuit, especially in comparison to Suzuka. But despite this, points will be won and lost today, and that needs reporting on BlogF1. Continue Reading

Last week I came to the realisation that I spend a lot of time on BlogF1. I think I’ve said this before, but it’s worth repeating: The site is essentially an extension of myself. My personality, thoughts and opinions. It is where I learn, where I inform and most importantly, it is where I have fun. So with Japan being a difficult weekend to cover (I’m in Europe), I thought I’d share with you all what I do and how I do it. For the next two days, I will be keeping a public diary. How Do You Watch Formula One?

Having set up my desk for the Hungarian Grand Prix, I got thinking if I was the only one who organises the room around the grand prix whenever the cars take to the track. Below is a photo (excuse my lack of photography skills) which shows how my desk looked as the build-up to the qualifying started. It primarily includes my MacBook Pro, which is obviously essential for blogging to BlogF1, joining in with the LiveBlog and following Formula One Live Timing. Due to the limited space on the 15″ MacBook screen, I also utilise a separate 22″ Dell monitor (which was one of the best things I ever bought). I also rotate my TV slightly so I can see it from the desk. Continue Reading
