BlogF1 On Sidepodquiz

Posted on September 21st, 2008 by Oliver White

Yesterday afternoon, BlogF1 became a guinea pig for Sidepodcast as they did a trial run for a new idea for their ever expanding list of entertaining show features. The idea was a quiz, obviously centred around the very sport we both cover and love, and despite walking talking into the unknown, it was an awful lot of fun. The questions were nicely split between the ridiculously easy to the fiendishly difficult. Some I knew, some I guessed and some I didn’t even have a clue. For those wondering what happens when you call Sidepodcast on a Saturday afternoon, here’s what happened… Continue Reading…

BlogF1 On La Canta Magnifico

Posted on April 28th, 2008 by Oliver White

This fine Monday morning was made even more welcoming by my contribution to Alianora La Canta’s guest-post series going up on La Canta Magnifico. Entitled Visions of the Future, Ali certainly got my imagination going; flying cars, unheard-of technology, black and white rules that are evenly and fairly enforced, supreme safety while still providing an incredible spectacle, the perfect balance of chasing, overtaking and failing to pass…

…and then I realised that this is Formula One we’re talking about, so I slumped back in my chair and attempted to give some thoughts on the future of the sport with both feet on the ground. Continue Reading…

Interview: Jeremy Washington from MarkWebberBlog

Posted on January 31st, 2007 by Oliver White

MicrophoneTaking this weeks hot-seat is Jeremy Washington, aka LoudHoward, who is regular visitor and commenter here at BlogF1. Based in Adelaide, Australia, Jeremy has followed Formula One since about the time I started to get hooked myself, and blogs regularly over at MarkWebberBlog. While the bias should be fairly obvious by now, Jeremy managed to give some thoughtful insights into Formula One, including the mooted ‘demotion’ system, the charity and goodwill work some drivers do, and his hopes to see F1 become more accessible in terms of online multimedia. And yes, Mark Webber gets a mention as well. Continue Reading…

Read on to find out what changes Roy would make to F1 if he could, whether or not he remembers a driver who won lots of titles and lastly who he thinks will take the 2007 title. Continue Reading…

Interview: Keith Collantine from F1Fanatic

Posted on January 17th, 2007 by Oliver White

MicrophoneWith the off-season dragging on like never before, and with still another 60 days to go before the Australian Grand Prix, I thought I would try my hand at doing a few short interviews with some fellow Formula One bloggers.

While I’m no interviewer, the responses so far have been fantastic, and this just highlights the superb content that is out there.

First up - and taking on the role as guinea pig for me - is F1 fanatic Keith Collantine. Keith runs the aptly named F1Fanatic blog, and judging by his occupation and website, F1Fanatic is no understatement. Read on to find out why Keith thinks the scoring system needs to change, his views on Fernando Alonso and McLaren, and what we should expect from Keith’s network of sites, F1, A1GP and GPM Fanatic.
