  • Caption Contest: #94

    The ninety-fourth photograph to feature in BlogF1’s caption contest. You know the drill, think of something funny and witty to say and leave it as a comment below. Everybody and their grandma is tweeting apparently. The BBC have embraced the online app that simply asks, “What are you doing?”. Even the Formula One teams have been getting in on the action and interacting with fans and sharing information. As here’s a shot of Heikki Kovalainen doing just that in the McLaren Technical Centre in Woking. But what is he writing? To make it even more fun, try and keep your comment to no more than 140 characters.

    Also, comments may not be moderated for the next three days. I apologise in advance, but I’m out of the country. I’m gonna guess and say that I will have Internet access where I am, but I do not intend to spend the rest of the week glued to a monitor (and my phone is being turned off). If your comment goes to moderation, I do apologise, and I will sort it out once I return.

    Oh, McLaren’s Twitter account is here, and mine is here. BlogF1 does have a dedicated account as well, but it only really gets updated when a new post is published.

      Heikki tests the FIA’s latest budget cutting strategy –

      @Heikki – “Lap 21 – I bravely use KERS and pass @lewisf1 on the inside into Eau Rouge #BelgianGP”

      @LewisF1 – “Lap 21 – I block @Heikki and hold the racing line into the apex #BelgianGP”

      Having fun in Monaco. I have 12 stitches already.

    10. June 12th, 2009 - 1:54am

      12 stitches? That sounds nasty :(

      Get well soon!

    11. June 12th, 2009 - 1:22pm

      So how do I poke Lewis from this one?

      Oddly enough, the stitches weren’t the nastiest part of my accident. The tetanus jab has left my right tricep all achy and my fractured tooth has prevented me from eating for 24 hours. It has now been temporarily mended with cement courtesy of the UK NHS. I’m probably going to need a crown. Also, the grazes on my left hand hurt a bit because I obviously use my hands more.

      It was entirely my own fault though. I deserve it. But thanks for the well wishes, Alia.

      Photos here, by the way. Parts of the circuit furniture are still visible.

      You’re welcome, Ollie. These things happen occasionally and it would have been easy not to own up.

      Thank you. I’ve looked at them and concluded you’re a good photographer. It’s not often I get to see Monaco when it isn’t in its Bank Holiday F1 finery…

      Hehehe, I’ve just logged on as Luca & sent out a press release calling Mosely a dictator…
