The final day of the Jerez completed earlier and once again Sebastien Buemi rose to the top of the tables, making it three successive days of fastest laps for the Swiss driver. Takuma Sato matched his form from yesterday and finished the productive test with another second place, the Japanese driver looking good to be chosen for one of the seats at Scuderia Toro Rosso for next year. Heikki Kovalainen finished third after driving the interim McLaren MP4-23A and letting Pedro De La Rosa develop the KERS equipped MP4-23K.

The Ferraris of Kimi Raikkonen and Felipe Massa completed 154 laps between them, the Finn ending his day in fourth while Massa finished 0.3s down in fifth. Fernando Alonso continued to acclimatise himself to the slick tyres, fitted to slightly modified R28, and Williams fielded Nico Rosberg who ended up in seventh, just behind Alonso. BMW racked up the mileage with Robert Kubica and test driver Christian Klien managing 235 laps in total and allowing Nick Heidfeld a rest day.

The final big test of the year will see the teams divided between Jerez and the new Autodromo Internacional do Algarve circuits, the first running scheduled to commence on December 15th.
