  • Singapore 2008: Qualifying Result

Felipe Massa has charged to Formula One’s first ever night-time pole position at Singapore. The Ferrari pilot edged out Lewis Hamilton in the final session to take the top spot, and comfortably beat his team mate Kimi Raikkonen by 0.8s. After Moncao and Valencia, Massa is looking to be a street-circuit specialist. Heikki Kovalainen ran well in Q1 and Q2, but by the time the critical session came around, the Finn could only manage fifth. Fernando Alonso stopped at the start of Q2 with a fuel supply issue and Giancarlo Fisichella similarly didn’t set a lap time in Q1.

A full report will up shortly.

So Alonso qualified 15th, and won the race due to Piquet crashing.

“Super car all weekend” he says as after he wins.

      Rubbish.

Renault are going to be kicked out of F1 in disgrace.

At the time I said Piquet did it on purpose, so I’m not surprised.

Goodbye Renault, you brought it on yourselves.
