  • Silverstone 2008: Qualifying Result

In a sensational qualifying session for the British Grand Prix at Silverstone, Heikki Kovalainen has taken his very first Formula One pole position. And perhaps even more surprising is the driver who will pull up in grid slot two: Mark Webber. The final session was incredible and for a few moments, the Australian was there on pole, but Kovalainen blitzed his final lap and took the premiere position by some margin. Lewis Hamilton struggled in the final run and could only manage fourth, behind rival Ferrari driver Kimi Raikkonen.

good on mark! he’s the unluckiest driver in f1 and if he qualifies better than seventh he’s worked wonders with a far inferior machine. imagine if he drove a mclaren or ferrari. lets hope it rains and good luck to him tomorrow for a podium!
