  • France 2008: Qualifying Result

Kimi Raikkonen has lead the Ferraris to lock out the front row for the grid for tomorrow’s French Grand Prix. The Ferraris have done well around Magny Cours in the last few years, and this result for the team only adds to the complications faced by McLaren, who are dealing with a ten-place grid penalty for Lewis Hamilton. Combined with a lack of pace from Heikki Kovalainen and the Woking-squad aren’t looking too hot at the moment.

BMW were really off the pace as well, Nick Heidfeld failing to get into the Q3 and Robert Kubica qualifying in seventh. Honda fell out early on, only keeping themselves ahead of the Force Indias who hogged the back row. Both Toyotas got through to the final session and Fernando Alonso did well and will line up fourth (third on the grid due to Hamilton’s demotion). A full report will be posted soon.
