He developed the Benetton into a great car, then Renault gave him the boot (the first time ’round). I don’t think Button, Trulli or Alonso (Benetton/Renault previous drivers) are that great at sorting out a troublesome car, they’re just quick on race day. Fisi on the other hand is probably more suited to a testing/development role.

Hopefully Fisi will bring the experience needed to move Force India a bit further up the grid although I don’t think his track record really backs that hope up!
