  • Red Bull ‘Faces For Charity’ Livery

Red Bull Racing will be almost unrecognisable this weekend at Silverstone, as David Coulthard and Mark Webber race around the Northamptonshire countryside in a different livery. All in aid of raising money for the Wings For Life charity, the two RBR3s will be adorned with the faces and photos of those who donated money to the cause, set up to find cures for spinal injuries. Below are some images of the preparation of the cars, and the first pictures of the Red Bulls from Silverstone as the team go about their routines for the British Grand Prix.

I was lucky enough to be one of the few invited to tour the factory that day and see the stickers being applied first hand, and it looked an unbelievably tricky process – I’m sure the people who applied them would be happy if Red Bull didn’t try this trick again!

      Lucky son of a $&*£%! ;-)

It does look the kind of job that even Blue Peter presenters would groan at though, I must admit. Still all for a good cause, and judging by the money they raised, well worth it in the end.

It was a really interesting day – I was surprised when I found out there was only going to be 9 of us invited, I had expected there to be hundreds!

I looked for your BlogF1 logo, but there were that many pictures spread over the various bodyparts that I’m afraid I didn’t spot it.

I’ve got some pics from the day which will complement the ones you have above, and I’ll post these on my blog as soon as I can – hopefully later tonight. Some areas were off limits for cameras though unfortunately!
