Lewis Hamilton Test His McLarenFor the second day at France’s premier testing circuit, Lewis Hamilton as hogged the top of the timing sheet and gone faster than main rivals Ferrari. The teams ran the tight and twisty ‘Monaco’ configuration again, in preparation for the Grand Prix in eleven days, and focused on car set up and gaining the maximum from the Bridgestone tyres.

Hamilton improved his fastest lap yesterday by a small margin, beating Felipe Massa by a tenth and third place driver Robert Kubica by 0.5s. David Coulthard equalled Mark Webbers position of fourth, although the time was much faster. Takuma Sato closely followed behind, just 0.08s shy of the Red Bull and again underlines the competitiveness of the Super Aguri. Rubens Barrichello could only manage seventh place behind Heikki Kovalainen and 0.3s down on Sato. Alex Wurz and Ralf Schumacher finished the day in eighth and ninth respectively while Sebastien Bourdais drove a Formula One for the first time since December last year. Although the triple ChampCar champion could only muster a tenth place lap time, Sebastien spent much of the day re-acclimatising himself to F1 and the Toro Rosso car. Both Spyker drivers of Christijan Albers and Adrian Sutil completed the timing sheet.
