  • Rain Expected For Malaysian Grand Prix

Minardi - 2001 Malaysian Grand PrixAfter a deluge of rain affected testing at Malaysia’s Sepang circuit last week, meteorologists are predicting further downpours on the afternoon of the three days that the circuit will see Formula One action next weekend. The worst of the weather is expected to arrive on Saturday afternoon, but experts are also suggesting the rain could continue into Sunday and cause havoc for the drivers.

I’ve experienced some incredible downpours before in Sepang. Here, the rain is far from normal. When the Heavens open, everything disappears under water in no time. Nick Heidfeld.

If the Heaven’s open on Sunday, it will be the first wet Malaysian Grand Prix since 2001 when Michael Schumacher won the event for Ferrari.
