F1 Auction To Raise Funds For School

Posted on July 7th, 2006 by Oliver White in Other Events

I was recently contacted by Dave Lewis - the headmaster of Flash Ley Community Primary School - and was asked to publicise an auction on eBay of a signed Renault racing suit. Mr Lewis explains further…

…A former pupil of our school works for Renault and she has persuaded them to donate a valuable adult-sized Formula 1 Grand Prix Renault Racing Suit for us to auction. We have decided to place the suit on the Ebay auction web site. The suit has been autographed by both the World Champion Fernando Alonso and team mate Giancarlo Fisichella.

The auction is in aid of Flash Ley School Funds where the PTFA hope to use the money towards the construction of an outside play area for our pupils.

If there is any way in which your site can help us to publicise the auction the pupils would be very grateful. The item is found under the ‘Sports Memorabilia - Memorabilia Motor Sports - Formula 1′ category. Click on this Web link to the Ebay site. The suit is part way down the page but is easily spotted as it is on a lavender background.

Click here to be taken to the auction.

As play areas seem to be diminishing in schools at the moment, I see this as a great cause - so head over to eBay and bid like there’s no tomorrow. Just don’t wear the racing suit to your next board meeting! ;)
